A veteran therapist of over twenty-seven years of clinical experience, Diane earned her B.A. in Psychology form West Virginia University and her M.S.Ed. in Community Counseling from Duquesne University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she worked for twenty years at Mercy Behavioral Health before joining the team at Alliance for the past twelve years, eight of them full time.
Diane believes that if you are hurting inside and struggling with life’s challenges, reaching out for therapeutic help is a positive step for you to take! Whether it’s depression or anxiety, trauma, life changes or relationship challenges, as well as personal development, she is here for you. The journey may not be easy, but it’s so worth taking. In developing a partnership with clients, Diane hopes to have them arrive at a new place and sense of peace and wellness in their lives.
In assisting you in reaching your therapeutic goals through establishing a nonjudgmental accepting relationship, Diane seeks to facilitate the examination of sources of conflict, reshape emotional experiences and safely explore feelings. Working with clients ranging in age from late teens to seniors, she uses modalities that include Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Skill Building, EMDR (eye movement, desensitization and reprocessing), Narratives, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Having found great fulfillment in helping others work through life’s difficulties, Diane’s commitment to engaging in the therapeutic process with clients will help facilitate growth that will bring positive, lasting change.
Diane’s activities and interests include Crossfit, bike riding, hiking, attending concerts and traveling.
